Welcome to the beautiful island of Majorca with its 90 plus beaches, clear blue sea, glorious countryside, friendly people and activities galore for all ages.
Although it’s commonly spelt Majorca in the UK, locally the island is referred to as Mallorca. Just to complicate things further, when it comes to pronouncing Mallorca you need to turn the two ‘l’s into a ‘y’ therefore pronouncing ‘Mayorca’. The changing of the ‘l’s into a ‘y’ is common – for example Soller becomes ‘Soyer’. Discover more about the Soller Majorca resort.
